_Underscored: The Archive at RedLine Contemporary Art Center

Born out of RedLine’s 2024 exhibition theme, “Stories _Underscored,” this new project aims to provide space to document, conserve and share conversations between artists and community members in a digital archive. The archive, housed digitally on StoryCorps platform and in-person at RedLine’s Library, is shared to a national audience so our communities’ stories can be elevated to make waves to alter the collective narrative. By learning how to have meaningful conversations that can be activated into social change, we can shape our understanding of the world around us, grow in empathy for the people in our lives, and be more informed to stand in solidarity with our neighbors.
