A Roots Reunion!Collecting hair chronicles from friends of A Nappy Hair Affair –Celebrating our 20th anniversary!

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of A Nappy Hair Affair, formed in 1998, this StoryCorps community was formed to collect interviews about our hair with roots in Africa! We welcome special memories from the many who attended our signature "Hair Days" gatherings over the years that took place in U.S. cities and abroad, when we gathered to nurture and celebrate our natural hair. We also welcome others who want to share stories natural hair issues and experiences.
