On November 24th, 2021 Alexa Michael and her grandmother Jill Handy talk in their hometown of Hicksville, Ohio about Jill’s life growing up as a woman in the 1950s and 60s. They talk about Jill’s parents, and her sister Sally. Jill talks about how her parents were strict, and how she thinks they wouldn’t have been as strict if she grew up as a boy. Jill also talks about how she thinks society doesn’t treat women with respect in general, however she believes she gets treated well living in a small town where everyone knows each other.
