Amy Wen talks about early childhood education in the US and in China

Description

Amy was raised in a mountain community of southern China surrounded by nature. Her introduction to Waldorf philosophy was in 2006 while attending college. Her passion and strong desire to work with children in education led her to a job at Zhuhai Chuntong Waldorf School after graduation. She was a kindergarten assistant for four years and also attended training and received her WECC certification as a Waldorf Early Childhood Teacher. In 2015 Amy and her husband and son moved to Portland, where she worked recently as a preschool teacher’s assistant at Shining Star Waldorf School. She is now the assistant teacher for Portland Waldorf School's Rose Kindergarten.
