Andrea Crouch (AC) and Kevin Crouch (KC) explain the circumstances leading up to getting on the same Qatar Airways flight back to the US.
They describe how they both separately ended up changing seats, leading them to end up in the same row.
KC remembers getting on the flight and accidentally sitting in the wrong seat in the row, which led to an awkward first interaction with AC and turned into a conversation that would continue for the whole flight.
They share how they landed in the US after 14 hours, neither wanting the flight to end.
KC and AC describe how they each had an epiphany about the other being “the one” as they went through the went through different airport checkpoints upon landing.
AC recounts KC establishing first contact with AC and later revealing he was unemployed, going through a divorce, and not planning to return to Doha as AC had assumed.
KC and AC remember meeting in person for the first time since their flight and sharing their first kiss.
AC describes going back to Doha and how they established a long-distance relationship of sorts.
KC recounts getting a job in Afghanistan, traveling with AC and meeting up for vacations, and eventually turning down a big promotion to move back to the US with AC, which led to them getting married.
The couple reflects on how fate brought them together and how lucky they consider themselves.
