In this interview, conducted in November 2017 in Long Island, New York, Carly Adessa (16) interviews her mother, Alisa Adessa, (48) about her childhood in Howard Beach. Her mom shares how school was as a child and what kind of jobs she had growing up. She also shares where she is currently working (Garden City Elementary School) and some of the people that impacted her life. At the end, she tells her daughter how she wants people to remember her.
