JW moved from her small town in Virginia to West of Broadway in New York where she lived with musicians and was exposed to a diversity of people and thoughts.
JW describes her experience going being a student during the desegregation of southern schools and the guilt she carried in regards to her "southern" identity.
CS's grandmother tried her hardest not to draw attention to the negativity of limitations and discrimination her family was facing as black people. CS remembers a story she heard from her mother exemplifying her grandmother's efforts.
CS describes a small town in Michigan where her family would often retreat, it was a town visited by the Four Tops and the Temptations that would come to change within these recent years.
CS and JW express their frustrations over these past four years with the increasing polarization and hostile discussions.
