Gerry, Margaret, Phyllis, and Cindy discuss the night that Gerry had cardiac arrest on the porch of Hands Across at the 2019 American Week. this conversation is the first time that all four were together to talk about it in this detail, and to share the elements that only each of them knew. Margaret is Gerry’s partner, who was at home in Rochester and who received a phone call during the incident, Phyllis is a cardiac nurse who happened to be a Pinewoods that week, and Cindy was an acquaintance from Rochester who drove to camp with Gerry, getting to know him for the first time on their long drive. all of them are reflecting on their extraordinary experience, their shared bond, and on the variety of ways the Pinewoods community experienced trauma and rallied in support.
