Description

First, segregation wasn’t as bad. Then, In the 1960’s protesting took place and people of a different race were not allowed to sit with whites and had a different bathrooms and water fountains. Next, in 1963 Martin Luther King, a civil rights leader gave his “I have a dream” speech and Edwin Pratt, a civil rights leader in Washington state rallied against segregation. Finally, people changed their perspective on colored people and wanted to help them instead of accuse them. This made a impact on our world because it made a stop to segregation in the United States including Washington State.
