RS was drawn to Baha'i's idea of harmony between religions and seeing mankind as one.
At 21 RS was looking for adventure and decided to move to Colombia to work in a friend's print shop.
RS says he was naive about the challenges before him--he spoke no Spanish and was an outsider.
RS sees his experiences with culture shock as transformative.
RS, through his Baha'i faith, saw his travels as more than what he could give, but what he could learn.
RS describes a passage in the Baha'i writings that says, "you're given a new eye, a new ear, a new heart and a new tongue"--which RS relates to his experiences in Colombia.
KH describes her family past, discovering her Cherokee ancestry and her involvement in Lakota spirituality.
KH sees many similarities between Lakota and Baha'i beliefs, especially the idea that all mankind is one.
RS talks about his three children and how his faith has influenced his family.
