Denis Fitts talks about the founding of the Portland Waldorf School as well as his wish for the next 100 years of Waldorf education.

DescriptionDenis Fitts was the founding teacher at Portland Waldorf School in 1982 when he was 22 years old. He taught kindergarten for the first two years and then took a grades class through sixth grade before moving back to Sacramento. In 1990 he joined the Sacramento Waldorf School faculty where he is currently taking his 3rd class through the grades at SWS. He spent 6 years in the HS math department and was a math curriculum instructor at Rudolf Steiner College for 16 years. Father of 3 SWS alumni, Denis’s current class students are in 7th grade.
