Description

Drechelle recounts the birth trauma she experienced with her first child. She was having some health issues, such as very high blood pressure, a sign of preeclampsia. She went on to having an emergency c-section and was hemorrhaging so bad she nearly died. Overall, Drechelle felt there may have been some discrepancies in her initial care because she is Black. Once her mother Violet, made it known she was a nurse, did Drechelle's care seem to improve.
