Description

This interview was recorded in Oxford Mississippi on November 26. I interviewed Edmond Boudreaux who is my grandfather and was born in Georgiatown, South Carolina and now lives in Biloxi Mississippi. He talks about public bus integration and his first experience with sitting by a black woman on the bus. He was in the last class at his all boys school to graduate all white but he played football with both blacks and white boys. His parents brought him up to respect all people and he learned about the Emmett Till case by watching the news but discussed it with his parents who agreed that it was a disgrace.
