Grandpa’s, Grenades, and God

Christmas is a day not only for unwrapping presents and eating candy canes. It’s also a time of family, and love. So on December 25, 2019, 14-year-old Beija Sayeed sat down with her great grandfather Alfonzo Jackson to talk about his experience in the air force, and being one of the Tuskegee Airmen. He recalled all of his great times serving, and of how proud he was that he did could be apart of such an amazing program. He very early on, only about 50 seconds in said how deciding to enroll had been the most memorable thing in his life. He mentions only 2 minutes and 2 seconds in that this impacted him greatly and led him into opportunities that he probably wouldn’t have been able to take part in if he hadn’t joined. He told all about how he never lost hope because he knew he was protected and had all his faith in The Lord.
