DescriptionThere were floods of immigrants, widespread war, and inescapable poverty, yet she still cherished every moment of her childhood. Jordan Ben-Yehuda interviews her grandmother Nitza Ben-Yehuda as she discusses her unusual childhood as an Israeli citizen. At 12:30 she talks about her experience and values from being forced to join the Israeli army right as she got out of highschool. Having to fight for survival taught her responsibility and transformed her from a child to an adult. When hearing this story about her challenging youth and persistence, one might feel remorse for her. However, she does not want others to think about it that way because she absolutely adored it.
