Virginia Tech sedimentologist Brian Romans knows how scientific ocean drilling can be a particularly good mechanism or vehicle for pivoting in a career – that’s because he has many examples to share across his own experiences. For this episode of Tales from the Deep, Brian speaks about the amazing progression he has had throughout his career from his initial introduction to deep sea cores through his three expeditions on JOIDES Resolution. And Brian is hopeful that he can contribute to the next era of scientific ocean drilling.
