"I will never send you away"

Description

In this interview, conducted on November 2018 in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Victoria Diaz (16) interviews her mother Annette (51) about growing up in New York and being sent away at 16 years old. Annette shares the difficulties and remember what it was like being given away to strangers by her own parents and being separated from her best friend and sister for five years. She talks about plans for the future, what she would have changed or done if she could go back. At the end of the discussion she talks about what her proudest moment in life is.
