Interview with Ma - Part 1 "so yeah, if it was quirky or weird it was because I was quirky or weird too"

Recorded March 6, 2019 17:34 minutes

Description

Part 1 of a conversation with my grandmother, who I call Ma. We have always been very close, and I know she loves to talk and tell stories, so was a perfect candidate for this sort of project. We sit in the Lamson Library in Plymouth, New Hampshire, and I ask her a variety of questions. She talks about her childhood, what her parents did for a living, games she would play outside with her siblings, her own grandparents, one of her favorite memories of me. She discusses what school was like and how it shaped her, individuals who influenced her life, when she is the happiest, how religion has played a role in her life and how that has changed, and stories of people who have impacted her. She also talks about her job as a teacher, and the impact she had on others.
