Description

Tenacity and an unwavering work ethic define the life of a farmer. At 92 years of age, Joe Sauer planted over 1,000 onion plants this past year. “Over the course of a few days,” he qualified. As if one could imagine one could do it faster – at any age.

Joe and Jeanette Sauer describe the evolution of a poultry farm (they started with raspberries, currants and three cows) and take us through the planting and harvesting season.
