John M. Moody - Pioneering Geologist in Venezuela

Description

John M. Moody started out as a small boy from a small town in Texas, visiting Lake Texoma and admiring the wealth of fossils all around him. This led him to a career in geology through which he pioneered the discovery of never before found fossils in Venezuela, establishing a geology program in the museum there, mentoring future leading lights in the field and having at least three previously unknown species named for him. He is also a prolific author.
