KD was born in Mount Holly, NJ. Her family moved many times in her early life. Her mother died when she was four years old. Her father could not take care of her and left her with friends of the family. The man in the couple was a pedophile and abused KD. He kept her silent by saying no one would love her if she told. When KD was seven, her father came back for her.
KD talks about meeting her husband for the first time. They talked for weeks on the phone. Eventually she was pregnant. She kept her pregnancy a secret. Then, she was forced to get married in the Catholic Church. They got separated and divorced later. KD regrets losing parts of his family.
KD tells stories about her former mother-in-law, Pearl Liebel. PL taught her to cook and taught her other things.
KD moved to Reading, CA and was immediately homesick. KD talks about looking and finding work.
KD talks about meeting her second husband, Mark.
