Description
Speed Leas talks about his distinguished career as a United Church of Christ minister. Throughout his career he made significant contributions to civil rights and peace making in the communities in which he served, as well as within the many church congregations that he counseled. He served in Watts, Los Angeles, at the time of the Watts Riots. He worked for, and made advances in, civil rights and fair housing. He is the author of many books, including the book "Church Fights" (with Paul Kittlaus), and he worked for many years as a sought-after adviser, peace maker, and mediator in ecclesiastical settings.Participants
