Maureen (M) describes Decatur Makers, and she and Chris (C) share how they got involved in founding Decatur Makers.
C and M remember the friends they made while helping get Decatur Makers started.
M and C talk about the time Decatur Makers created human foosball, as well as other unique projects.
C and M share projects they’re proud of, including partnering with the Decatur Housing Authority to teach folks how to fix desktop computers and partnering with a local wine festival to make fun interactive builds.

C and M consider some of the mistakes made along the way while developing Decatur Makers.
C and M talk about the changes Decatur Makers has undergone, from hiring their first paid employee, to becoming a non-profit with staff and an executive director.
C shares that there are kids who have grown up with Decatur Makers and talks about the importance of intergenerational exchanges of skills.
M talks about a speaker-building class she’s taking, and C mentions that he’s working on an amplifier class as the next part of the speaker class.
