Jessica Roberts (32) interviews her boyfriends mother Doroethy Leonard about Doroethy’s grandfather Franklin Merrell Wolff and his spirituality and philosophy.

Franklin went to Stanford University and Studied Mathematics and Philosophy and moved on the Harvard University where he originally went to study law but he was more interested in math and Philosophy.
Franklin wrote his first book on to of Mount Whitney in California, a book about yoga.
He pioneered the western philosophy.
When Franklin and his wife Sherifa went to to write on Mount Whitney they took tents and their type writer and basically lived there. The park ranger told them if they wanted to stay they had to build a building and that’s how the ashram (the stone house for them) came to be. It took 20 years to build, started in 1929.
Frankiln’s philosophy was about compassion, wisdom, caring about others in a more profound way.
Franklin was a genuine man, a loving man and did not preach. Doroethy fees blessed for knowing him.
Doroethy remembers one day her children were watching catoons with Franklin and he was laughing so much. He didn’t watch tv and the cartoons were so funny to him.
