Jan Haas (47) talks with her husband, Tony Haas (48), about health complications she endured after giving birth to their third daughter.

after giving birth to her third daughter, Sarah, JH began to feel very ill. JH went to the emergency room and spent more than a 130 days in the hospital.
JH had Invasive Group A Strep bacterial infection, also known as "the flesh eating bacteria." The infection attacked JH's body on the inside. JH was put under a drug induced coma and went through a number of different surgeries.
JH reads poem from the book she published about her experience. The title of the book "Bathing"
JH at times felt like a specimen when doctors would show the medical interns her open wounds.
TH talks about how life was like at the house when JH was hospitalized and in recuperation.
TH describes the emotions he went through when his wife was hospitalized.
JH talks about her dialogue with God when she was in the hospital and the moment she saw God's face.
The biggest lesson JH learned through all this is that she is not alone.
TH talks about their oldest daughters coping with what was going on at ages 4 and 2.
