Harlan Wilson (80) talks with his son Todd Wilson (52) about his childhood, his time in the Navy, and one of his careers as a singer in a barbershop quartet, The Suntones.

In 1951, HW joined the Navy Reserves. He later became a seaman and then quartermaster.
HW met TW's mother Sally Ann at Lake Lansing--he played ukelele and she played guitar.
TW has sung bass with his father's group, The Suntones, since 1999.
HW loves when people come up to him after concerts and tell him they wish they could keep listening to him.
TW remembers HW practicing his dance moves at home in front of a mirror so that the microphone cords ended up in the right place at the end of the song.
In talking about his happiest moments, HW points out that right now is a happy time in his life.
