Description

First I asked my grandfather about his childhood and his upbringing. He talked about the school systems back in Iran, as well as growing up in a family of six. When I asked him about some early memories of school, he talked about funny times such as when he and his peers would trick their instructor into canceling the class. I then asked about how my grandfather met my grandmother, and he explained that his sister’s marriage brought my grandmother’s family closer to his. about meeting my grandmother and how they had my mother and her sister. I asked my grandfather if he recalled any memories of my mother when she was a kid, and he described my mother as being a smart girl who could be very mischievous at times. He talked about one specific time when she rounded up first-graders to go and complain to the principal about grades. When I asked him about what he was proud of in his life, he said that he was proud to have two successful daughters and such successful grandkids.
