00:01 Is it working? Oh, this one does work. Being with our participants, introducing themselves. My name is Lily. I am 13 years old. Today is. What's the date? 14th. May 14th. Speaking with Kimberly Coombs Nicole Buley I got that all wrong. Who is my mother? And I'm recording this interview in Orlando, Florida.

00:35 Hi, my name's Kim Buley I'm 53 years old. I'm here in Orlando, Florida, talking to my sweet, lovely daughter, Lillian Buley and.

00:44 Excited to do this interview on Mother's day. On Mother's Day 2023. We did this earlier. How does it feel to do it again?

00:56 Feels great. I wish it was recorded earlier. That would be great because we did a few days ago. But, hey, better, you know, better to know that it didn't record, then not do it.

01:07 Okay. Earliest memory.

01:11 Ooh. My earliest memory is from when I was really young. And I remember my parents, like, arguing a little bit in the kitchen a little bit. And I took it on personally, as if I was the cause of the argument, because it was like, can we go do something or can I not? And I thought that I wasn't, like, worthy of doing it. Now, in retrospect, as an adult, I realized that they were just arguing over, like, who had time to do stuff or didn't have time to do stuff. But I think in my heart, for a long time, it had an impact on me because I took it personally. Okay.

01:50 I've never felt that good.

01:52 I'm sorry.

01:52 How would you like to be remembered?

01:54 I would love to be remembered as someone who helped somebody feel good that I was there to encourage people, help them with their growth, and to really help benefit people's lives. I hope that they know that I'm here to serve them and also that a fun and positive influence in society.

02:19 That's great. Speaking of influences, who's the very, very first president you can remember voting for?

02:28 Oh, boy. I have a really hard time with that. I know. I voted for George W. Bush. Beyond before that, I don't really know. And I'm 53, so I could have voted in a lot of presidential elections. I actually didn't vote when I was relatively young. I wasn't really that interested.

02:45 It's only. Ms. Hall's not going to like that.

02:47 I know, but the truth will set you free, baby.

02:55 Well, where'd you grow up?

02:59 I grew up. I've been here in central Florida since I was four. I moved here from Maryland, and so pretty much I grew up in Florida.

03:10 Marilyn, where I know you weren't born by Marilyn Monroe.

03:14 I was born in Philadelphia, but I don't, you know, I was less than 4. I don't know where the heck I was.

03:23 All right, give me a good memory and I can't be in it. Those are the rules.

03:28 That's such a hard one because you're in all my good memories, but I mean, that's not all my good memories. I'd say my best memory that I can think of really quickly would be joining this Tony Robbins group and deciding to do some things for my own personal growth and create new relationships and learning. So when I went to Sun Valley in February, it was an amazing experience. I went by myself, I met a lot of people. They were all really successful, really kind, really open people and just real quality people that I'm excited to forge new friendships with. So I'll be going to Africa with them next month and then another trip a little bit later in the year. So it's a huge investment and I'm really, really fortunate to have the opportunity and fortunate to make the opportunity happen and to grow. And I just pray and ask God that he directs all this learning in a really positive way that pays off for our future.

04:27 Tony Robbins is a very big influence then.

04:30 Absolutely. Yeah. It's been really thankful for him.

04:34 I take he's been doing his job well.

04:37 He is amazing. He helps millions and millions and millions of people all around the world and I'm fortunate to participate.

04:46 All around the world, you say?

04:48 Yes, all around the world.

04:51 About the world, what do you hate and love most? People, Please elaborate.

05:00 People are amazing. It's the beautiful thing about our whole world. It's what makes it go around. I mean, obviously the world's really beautiful. I love to explore the world, but part of what the exploration is is not just the beauty of the world, but it's what people have created within the world. So it's beautiful. The downside of that is angry, hateful people. I mean there's a lot of destruction in the world from that. So, you know, it's a little bit of work to find the good in people and understand that everybody has reasons for doing what they do and just really trying to balance out that the positive with obviously the sometimes annoyance of just people.

05:46 Was I an annoyance when I asked you to do this at 9, 10 at night?

05:51 Haha, that's funny. Yeah, I was pre ticked off as you know. So no phone for you tomorrow. I was angry because I was annoyed because you were on your phone, which I already disagree with you being on your phone.

06:05 But I had. Okay, hang on. I'm gonna. What? What's the word?

06:11 Stop the conversation.

06:12 No, I don't know. I don't know what the word is, but I'm just gonna say. I had been saying all night and all day, actually, hey, we need to do this. Hey, we need to do this. You were like, yeah, great, let's do it. And then you came down and you would get sidetracked and you would do stuff. So I was like, okay, yeah, whatever. And then it'd be like, oh, we need to do this, and you get sidetracked.

06:37 This is a fantastic opportunity for us to chat. So glad Ms. Hall gets to partake in this. I get sidetracked. And as I tell my team members that work for me, if you need something, it is your job to make sure you get it from me. Because I'm not going to be the gatekeeper and wrangle all the monkeys. So if you need something, I don't care if you have to ask me 10 times, you better get your thing done, because I'm not going to be your controller. And wonder why, because that makes me feel like a mom of too many people. You are a mom. I am your mom. But you better figure out how to make sure that you're getting your stuff done and getting your needs met, because nobody's gonna look out for you but you.

07:22 Yes, ma'am. Questions from that email. Okay. Yeah. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be?

07:33 Nelly. Wherever you're at.

07:36 An actual place, maybe.

07:39 I loved Byron Bay, Australia. Amazing and beautiful. I wouldn't mind being in Tokyo for a bit.

07:50 Yeah.

07:50 I don't know. I mean, I love the beach, so. Never been to Hawaii, maybe. That would be fun.

07:57 Hawaii would be fun. Let's go. Yeah, let's go to. We're gonna go to Fiji.

08:03 We are going to Fiji. Absolutely.

08:06 Thomas Hall. Why?

08:08 I'm gonna win the exercise competition, but I've got a lot of work to do in order to win that. I'm kind of slacking this month.

08:16 Do two a day.

08:17 Right. I'd better get on it. I gotta go do it for. I didn't do all of them this week, so. Yeah. So if I can win that competition. Most improvement in six months, then I have a shot at Fiji for us.

08:31 All right. You know, I'm realizing now this isn't just going to Ms. Hall. This is going to go to the Library of Congress.

08:38 That's super exciting. Hello, everyone.

08:41 Hi, Congress. You're probably not going to listen to this, but. Hi. Have anything to say to Congress?

08:49 Thank you for all you do. What's the Library of Congress, though? I mean, that's not really Congress.

08:54 Storage.

08:55 Yeah. Yeah.

08:57 Digital storage.

08:58 Yeah. All right. So, is there anything else I can help you with this evening?

09:05 No.

09:06 Sweet. This was good fun. I loved it. Thank you so much for the opportunity to talk to you. Get some of those things cleared up.

09:13 We've been talking all day, but thank you for talking.

09:17 I love you very much.

09:20 Love you, too. Bye, Congress. Bye, Ms. Hall.

09:26 Adios.

09:28 Bye, Mother.
