Friends Naomi Graver (24) talks with Edgar "Ed" Holley (52) remember their mutual friend, Cheikh. Ed was a baseball coach for Cheikh when he was just a teen. Years later Ed would learn that he left a huge impression on Cheikh and his other teammates. Naomi met Cheikh while living in New York City and the two briefly dated and remained good friends. Cheikh died unexpectedly during a snorkeling accident and the two participants remembered him as a lovely friend and someone they miss dearly.

Ed talks about Cheikh, a dear friend that he met when Cheikh was a young kid.
Naomi share how Cheikh passed away, he drowned in an accident while snorkeling. Ed says that at the funeral he was shocked to see how much of an impact he on Cheikh.
Naomi believes that she was also influenced by Ed because she started dating Cheikh when she was 18 and he taught her a lot of what he learned from Ed.
Ed shares that he is from Roosevelt Island and that he hired to work there as a program director for a youth organization. Ed says he was coaching the little league team and later he started a traveling baseball team for teens.
Ed says that he was technically a baseball coach, but also an outreach worker. He remembers giving advice to the kids he worked.
Ed remembers how Cheikh often reminded him that it was ok to be himself and that he would encourage him in his music.
Naomi and Ed share how that both keep a photo of Cheikh on their mantels with a candle. Naomi says she feels lucky to be loved by him.
Naomi talks about how she met Cheikh while he was working at the coffee shop.
Ed tells Naomi that sometimes love is all about timing. He says that when you’re young you’re not the person you’re going to be yet.
Ed talks about how Cheikh would want to be remembered as a friend because friendship for Cheikh was very special.
