Description

Patrick opens up about being the child of parents suffering from addiction and alcoholism, and being raised in the foster care system from the age of 2. In the approximate 14 years he was in the foster care system, Patrick changed "placements" over 40 times. He suffered unspeakable abuse at the hands of his parents as well as some of his foster families and guardians he was placed with by the county. His respite from all the chaos was in books and he became a voracious reader where he was whisked off to worlds that made much more sense than his. Patrick is currently working on his memoir in an effort to share his story and provide hope to other adults that grew up like him and kids currently in foster care.
