05:58 What they did was they put you on a lonely call list. So I'll call them, bring you some of that phone. So what do you remember about that day?

06:19 Then call them or did you go down to the local Army enlistment office? And the first post, which is about sixty miles away. Today that I like that about you three days.

09:18 Blue, I hate you in and out of there, as fast as possible, and that's why I found out that was going to be at anchor replacement, Training Center.

09:58 I left the chainsaw. What year is this? What? 69 months before the end of the war?

10:13 And so you got a not Fort Knox. You learn to be a tanker. And then what do they do where they send you? Well, stranger look.

10:23 They sent me was I thought I was going to go to the Far East.

10:29 Ship it to Fort Ord California, which is the replacement assembly Depo for the Fire HD. So yellow.

10:45 So, how long were you in Florida? Leave the bottle turn, can you turn in your normal? And so they decided that they didn't need us and the glories of troop trains into the suit to a

11:38 Fort Meade, Maryland. Another time. No, no. Wasn't me? I could when we are in Maryland, a couple of times.

12:01 So so how long were you at? Work needs a bench or cold water exercises? Until it was not easy.

12:40 I did want to go to the Army vehicles. Big 10 college system. While we were out of the barrel, the cost of all filled in the water out about the actual deployment. So you're at me and you finish all your training. They throw you guys on what a big giant with a troop ship.

13:33 Will you go there when they know what ship you're going to go in with this was with a couple of thousand of your closest friends.

14:30 Election day has been in today, a first luxury Lotto.

14:55 2000 passengers back in the States. We have a 8,000 were jammed into the way down and really

15:38 It has been a shift, got it. You're having fun in your bunker. How long does it take to get across to the exact about the

16:12 Couldn't get a good shot at so New York to wear in England, Southampton.

16:49 So you didn't stay any time and call scera Shell. And then where did you where to land in France who lives and John are people's home trailer somewhere.

17:33 General in town positions. And then they put us on trains.

17:48 And we calling for your dates.

18:04 I guess, I guess we had a place with the post. I wanted into a replacement just to get you ready to go somewhere else or whatever.

18:44 We work to Bernie ass daughter and we had visions of a roof beside, a blessed Christmas, and I really don't remember. How long were you there before you actually were say, we still about five, six days, seven days, and then you are.

19:44 With the group active this into the store and Roadrunner.

20:07 Adult Star Trek. And so you were heading there already, or did they stick you in a couple of people in there?

20:30 Are you already with a group of people that we're going to be all together for the terrible things about? Do you want? And you will give me Entergy Sirhan still alive, is how I finally got it. So now,

21:10 It's it's just about all the Bulge ascending and you guys are Marching into Germany. They're going back to the house, but I will try to talk to John. Oh, yeah, could you got. You first entered into eternity?

21:37 Well, you know, now you're you're likely to face the real Germans cuz you're heading into Germany. That's what I thought was all about. Maybe some of the older guys are worried about things. Like, how can you describe some of the things that you might have been in Augusta, Georgia?

22:19 Did Joan's River call the ruler river which was German. And so we will wait until across up and go to call a pack of cologne.

22:55 We worked overtime.

23:01 I want to know about the.

23:04 So, did you make it to Cologne the first language?

23:15 We?

23:17 Google, what's 100 and 4th Infantry Division. Also works with the third Armored Division, The Same Spirit. So, anyway.

23:40 The first leg.

23:43 And this attack move when your startup costs of World War II?

23:57 After the bridge. And then we will, start is the next morning. The 3rd Armored Division would come barreling, when you come barreling through work together. Sometimes under the fourth, got to cross the river and establishing over there and Bridget and them and they came back that night. We should all usually attacks.

24:57 Gold slime and your tank was hit with a disabled and couldn't get out. And so that's why I stayed down and we could find is a shit that we were just at all that first night. You come across the field. So, what did you do?

25:57 Another thing that we were on the way, so, how long before the end of the Assumption bar of February, late, February, or early March or early March? In fact,

26:37 I've had one teasing. You just busy. Yeah, they don't say young and dumb for no reason. It's a good thing to me. Some doing it. Sometimes a good thing. But yeah, I mean never close enough to hit your tank. So.

27:37 The Germans weren't able to advance across the field toward you basically cuz the 3rd Armored was blasting their way through, but I will always

27:54 Continue until we actually got in the cold before your screen. Mobile news. What happened? Craziest River Crossing operation of World War II.

28:30 50 miles, south of where we were.

28:39 Cologne.

28:42 They all the my timer division Castle Bridge across the bridge across. And so what they did was fast as we could be random, things across the river on the bridge you do. In the meantime. I will Building & Bridge. You cross a bridge, and then collapse.

29:25 Temecula heading home now, right? So the soft spot.

30:13 And most of Germany buy them. I'm sure the average of them sold your heart, but the other. Yes, I told you I wanted to fight to the vet to get captured.

30:40 Did did any of them come up to you guys and want to surrender? And he's a soldier?

30:58 If the war was over.

31:01 Well, I see what happened next.

31:06 That's about the resistance.

31:25 What makes C.

31:28 Brazil.

31:33 As far as the war big over, we got as far as we can go eat.

31:39 We Russians, and that was supposed to be between the Russians.

31:51 So, we sat there for eight days waiting Warrior.

32:12 We want the album by this one time. I heard he was also, I'm going to go home or did you already know you didn't have enough points to rotate home? So how did you find out that you are now part of the occupation Army?

33:12 There weren't many of you left.

33:21 One, third of my tank company probably stayed in Tucson. Did you stay in touch with any of those guys from Louisiana and you from

33:50 What's the traffic on the border?

33:54 This big city of when you became part of the occupation, you got assigned to Berlin, is that correct?

34:18 I'll hold you to move to the shoulder with a sign of the 2nd Armored Division for the occupation to go into Berlin.

34:55 Oh, let's say the war was over in Maine.

35:01 45 and I came home and 46. Did you make any Russian friends? I love working in Berlin, cuz you had the US own, you had the British Zone. You have the Rush Zone near the French zone, right? Price? First. You didn't pay much attention to the zone. You were wondering where you wanted to go down to the Witcher.

36:01 Show Low.

36:07 We started to forget where I was or will be trouble with the Russians. So they decided that. What the hell is it? The Russians will come across any more info into West Berlin. So pretty well-established before 5.

36:43 So you finally, you get sent home, so weird. When you get back to the US, where did you go? How long were you there before you were discharged Will Lead You Back by first?

37:01 I understand that both call the constabulary, constabulary. We was the 16th Cavalry over 16 constabulary Squadron.

37:25 We will select Super police. We will, we will, we will, we will just kind of group briefly, just talk to me about when you went back to the US. And where did you go? How long before they discharged?

37:59 I took your phone number for Vera. Bordeaux treat ship.

38:24 They said the body or something, depending on where we, where we lived. And how did you have any big celebrations when he got back with your, with your game? With your guys were with different times different times and going to places?

39:00 It gets go home. That's when we got to charge. How long were you in New York for your discharge discharge? And you jumped on a train? Okay, and what your brother, really, really interested in a little bit, not all of them. This is a lot of fun. I wish we had a lot more time was hard for me to remember what it is. I know.
