Description

Growing up in Chicago, Gary Jedlovec dreamed of running his own weather station and becoming the next great TV weather forecaster. However, that all changed when he discovered meteorological research. Now well into his career as the Chief of the Earth Science Branch at NASA’s Marshal Space Flight Center, Gary talks to us about the creation of NASA’s Short-term Prediction Research and Transition (SPoRT) program as a bridge between researchers and weather forecasters, the future technology that will drive atmospheric measurements, and the importance of communicating weather forecasts to the public.
