In this interview, conducted on November 26, 2023 in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, Shayna Jotani interviews her father, Rick Jotani (50), about his experience moving to the United States from India in 1981. Dr. Jotani shares stories about seeing America for the first time, as well as those of his early life in Kalyan, India and eventually in Pennsylvania and North Carolina. He also talks about his parents and their experiences getting adjusted to living in America as first-generation immigrants.
