Description

Recording March 27, 2018 – The earliest memory of a library for Winona Crosby Stanley was dropping by the Judd’s Store to spend a nickel on a candy bar and crossing the street to the St. George Library for story time in the basement. She came with her special friend Florence Reynolds, but Florence moved away in later elementary years. The St. George Carnegie Library had a children section in the basement and an over-12 years section upstairs for the teens and adults.
Winona lived in Salt Lake City, Utah for 32 years where she raised their six children and the library was part of their lives as well.
