Description

Adeena Teres is a high school science teacher in Florida, although she tried a few different careers before following her passion for teaching. As a teacher, there are always opportunities to inspire students either into science careers or towards other paths and to learn new things. Adeena talks about one opportunity she had with PolarTEC to go to Greenland as part of NASA’s Operation IceBridge and for which she received an award with her own day. After returning, the response from her students was overwhelming. Many of them asked for NASA stickers to show friends and family and they remember “Ms. Teres day in Parkland” year to year.
