In this interview, conducted on November 25, 2018 in Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, Mahjah Chowdhury (16) interviews her mom, Mafruha Chowdhury on what it was like immigrating to America from Bangladesh. She talks about why she came, the different jobs she worked, and what it was like living here as a Muslim during 9/11. She explains how proud she is of how her life turned out and how happy she is that her children balance both Bengali and American customs. In this 10 minute interview she also discusses what she plans on doing in the future.
