DescriptionOn a snowy December afternoon I, Juanita Douglas, interviewed my favorite aunt Lillie Bea Douglas Calhoune in my hometown Gary, Indiana. We talked about her life farming cotton as a teenager in Tennessee before she migrated in 1945 to Gary. Auntie Bea surprised me with a story about juggling three boyfriends as a young woman. We also talked about interracial marriage and family life. We laughed at lot. I love her so much. She is 92 years old, I am 53.
