Chris Atchison didn’t set out to create a project tailored for students with physical and sensory disabilities but ending up doing so anyway. He talks here about working on a virtual reality project and, when trying to find students who had never been in a cave before, “…realizing that our science is very physically dominant, that if you can't get out in the field then the perception persists that this might not be for you.” Motivated by this experience, he has since worked to create an advisory committee for students with disabilities and an organization to support them.
