I interviewed my mother, who immigrated from South Korea to Los Angeles at the age of 5.

My name is Sunjae Lee, and I am a 17 year old junior attending Glenbrook South High school. For my Living History Project, I interviewed my mother based on events that I researched throughout her life.

This is a interview between Grace Han and Sook Hee Han. Topics were discussed such as how immigration affected Sook as a person.

I interviewed my grandpa, my Habojee, about his life. I asked him about his childhood in South Korea, his immigration to America, his experience as a husband and father, and his faith.

This interview was conducted with my mother. It was based mostly on the differences between Korean and American culture.

In the beginning, Michelle talks about the difficulties of adjusting to a new environment. Then, the topic smoothly transitions into one consisting of wisdom that can be applied all throughout life.

This interview took place at Detroit Country Day Middle School between Valerie Yang and Jiu Won. It was recorded on April 26, 2018. The topics we talked about were broad and regarded our lives so far.
