Today I ask a series of questions to my friend Jiovani. These questions are to see what kind of person he is and and some of his interest. He is 15 years old and gives good answers.

The topic was about how Christmas is different in the U.S and Mexico.

My friend that I haven’t seen in a while and I talk about what we were thankful for this holiday season and what fun traditions we get to do over the holidays.

I mainly chose to ask questions relevant to his school life, work life and love life. Being his girlfriend, it was interesting (and sweet) to hear about how he would answer some of these questions.

For my AVID class we had to record an interview with a family member over Thabksgiving break. My Noni and sat down and discussed various questions about her life.

Holiday traditions

Recently my Dad suffered a severe stroke, causing him to lose function of his left side, and landing him an intensive rehab hospital. This is a conversation between him and I as he prepares to return home.

We talked about my grandma’s childhood and work life. We also discussed some of her favorite memories and her family.

For Stephanie Hurd, family holidays growing up are cherished memories and remembering them with her sister and mother a favorite holiday pastime. From toppled Christmas trees to motherly pranks the holidays were never boring.

Grannie (Wilma) and Nana (Betty) have been talking since they met today at 11am. For 6 hours straight. So we asked them about their past thanksgivings and christmases and they took the conversation wherever they wanted!
