This is a conversation with my Grandmother, Lois Timmons, who grew up in Kansas and now lives in Richland, Washington. We discussed her childhood, some thanksgiving dishes and changes in American food culture
An interview with my dad about his grandfather - who owned a plant nursery. (Picutred: my dad on the left, his grandparents on the right.)
In this interview, my dad and I talked about the food he ate when he was younger growing up in Sandusky, Ohio. He compared it to the food we eat today based on the different generation and regions.
Talked about food storage and how food was made for the holidays. Also mentioned times during the war years as well as DDT usage afterwards.
My grandmother tells me about how farming and agricultural have impacted her life.
This was a quick story about my father side of the family. We talk mostly about their history of farming.
