My name is Melanie Riera and i’m 18 years old and i interviewed my mom Diana. We discussed early childhood and family life and what it was like to grow up and eventually escape Cuba.
The participant I interviewed was Eddie Cabal. He is 51 years old and is my father. A couple things that were discussed were some of the times he remembered while growing up.
Kate Harrison (15) interviews her grandma Roberta Epstein (73) about her life growing up in Miami. She talks about walking home from school, road trips with her family and what her parents were like.
We were talking about how she is proud of her parents and many great things she said to her great great grandchildren and to me her son.
I was only able to ask my first question and that was about her relationship with her parents. She told me about the differences between the relationship she had with her mom vs. her dad.
We talked about communism, what her life has been like and what she desires her future grandchildren will know about her.
I interviewed my mother, Dole McCormick. We talked about her childhood in the Philippines, how she ended up in the United States, her parents, and her marriage.
In this interview, I interview my grandmother Betty Savage in Raleigh, North Carolina, on November 24, 2017. Betty reflects on her childhood, family, accomplishments, aspirations, hobbies, and lessons she's learned over the years. She discusses her grandmother, cousins, mother, father,...
