This is my first interview of my grandfather, Forrest L. Smith, born September 30th, 1929 in Atlanta, GA. He discusses growing up in the Druid Hills neighborhood and his happiest and saddest moments.

For my SOCI 4122 class I was tasked with conducting an interview where a friend would ask my my thoughts on various topics surrounding death, and the lessions I took during the course.

Dick & Joyce Johnson have been married for 70 years - since Oct. 8, 1947. This is a conversation covering 1961-2017.

I chose to interview Natalie about her experiences with death. We focused on funerals and the differences between her Colombian traditions and what she has seen in America.

We talked about Grandad’s 72 year marriage, his experiences during WW2, and life in small town Georgia.
