ABS and SLM discuss how political labels sometimes are used as stand-ins for attributes of "kind" and "nice" but each weaponizes the political beliefs and says they're not kind or nice. They share stories about encouraging their kids/grandkids to like people even if they disagree with their political beliefs.
Both discuss how they want to get past labels as they believe the polarization is hurting kids and they both care about future generations.
