Anna (19) from Douglasville, Georgia, and Kate (18) from Somerville, Massachusetts participated in this One Small Step conversation as part of their Public Service Pathways 1-credit UNST course at UVA. Anna discusses finding leadership and community through her swim coach. Kate talks about what it was like moving from a small town in Connecticut to the more diverse Boston. Listen as Anna and Kate bond over their experiences spending time on their grandparents’ farms, share what drew them to policy, and learning new perspectives in college.
