Description

Audrey is a Daughter of the American Revolution. And a Grand Union Meat Manager. For someone deeply invested in genealogy research, both identities are important. Her father bought the sweet shop on Main Street and she describes working the lunch counter and the ebb and flow of a working day. We get a vivid tour of downtown Saugerties in the fifties. As well as what it was like being educated in a one-room schoolhouse. She left Saugerties after getting married but came back to stay, and now, like her father, is a fixture on the Saugerties scene .
