Celebrating Thanksgiving as an Immigrant

Description

For my interview, I chose to record my dad who is 57 years old, and is a retired member of the air force. My dad is originally from Biliran, a province in the Philippines, and grew up in the rural and close knit community there. However, at the age of 21 my dad enlisted in the Air Force, and was stationed in different countries around the globe. Eventually, my dad was stationed in the US, and celebrated his first Thanksgiving. In our interview, I asked my dad questions about life in Philippines, celebrating his first Thanksgiving, and what it was like being a Filipino immigrant in a new territory as well as serving in the front lines.
