“How do you look Asian, they can be white, they can be tanned, they can be black,” CMC says on their Asian, mixed race, American identity.
CMC speaks on the impact of having their Chinese identity be invalided by others .
CMC talks about preserving Chinese cuisine in a family that doesn’t write down recipes and has lost heritage because of assimilation.
“Even if it hurts to see you go through hard things, I love to see you change and grow through them,” GMC says to CMC.
“More people that challenge ideas is good. I like how you’re not afraid to challenge people and their lack of action or their racial stereotyping…” GMC says.
