Conversation with Jean Wu, United States Navy Veteran

Description

I had a conversation with Ms. Wu who served from 1994 to 2006 in the United States Navy. We discussed her initial experiences and what inspired her to join the Navy after high school. We discussed career opportunities and the BOOST Program which gave her a strong leadership role as well as many memorable experiences with the sailors she supervised. Ms. Wu shared her unique perspectives as a ship translator throughout her service in the Pacific. Finally, Ms. Wu shared what service means to her and how the younger generation should approach service.
