David Mellott and Maya Stein

David Mellott (DM) and Maya Stein (MS) begin their conversation and share why they wanted to participate. They discuss being distracted by smartphones as layer of disconnection from people. MS likes "real talk, not small talk" and shares about writing facilitation and invites DM to share a little known fact about himself.

MS reads DM bio and asks about when God found him, and what that felt like for him. DM reminisces and shares a personal story about hitting hard times and learning not to deny God anyore.

DM reads MS bio, MS explains being an INFP type and the Meyer-Briggs Personality Test, they discuss their experiences of being middle children and talk about family experiences.

DM asks about taking on two teenagers and the role of co-parent and step-parent. DM shares experience about being a step-parent, past wives and kids, becoming a grandparent.

MS asks DM about an influential person or event in his life, he describes Jesus Christ and his wife. They discuss marriage, MS shares about her grandfather, father, and sister as big influences.

In a discussion about personal political values, DM shares about being Conservative, and doesn't understand certain liberal things. They discuss abortion, 9/11, and MS thinks of herself as Liberal but thinks more in issues.

MS not surprised by DM, "everything you told me was an introduction that invites more questions."

DM hopes for future people get back together in meaningful ways, that government changes and references Constitution and Bible. MS talks about fearing what we don't know.
